Jenny Walker is an artist and librarian based in Maine, whose interdisciplinary practice includes drawing, painting, and printmaking. Inspired by art and literature, her work merges these fields to create visual stories that resonate with a wide range of viewers. With a background in both fine art and library science, Jenny brings a unique perspective to her artistic practice, embracing the idea of art as a form of both personal expression and collective memory.

Working with ink, acrylic, charcoal, and printmaking techniques, Jenny creates work that explores the spaces between abstraction and representation. She frequently integrates found images from personal archives or public collections to evoke a sense of nostalgia, mystery, and connection. Her compositions are often layered and textured, reflecting the complexities of human experience, history, and memory.

Jenny’s work has been exhibited in various galleries and public spaces, with a growing body of work that continues to challenge and blur the boundaries between painting and drawing. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity about the stories we tell ourselves and others, and how these stories shape our understanding of the world.

When not in the studio, Jenny works as a librarian, where her love of books and reading continues to inform and inspire her creative process. She lives and works in Maine, where the landscapes and histories of the region serve as both inspiration and context for her ongoing exploration of visual storytelling.
